Support Center

Please read our guidelines

In an effort to answer all tickets within 24 hours, WDT media has created a new customer support policy, designed to make it easier for our support champs to answer your questions faster and better. Please note this new policy goes into effect October 25, 2011...

  1. Only 1 question or topic per support ticket. If you have issues that are related to each other, please do include them in your initial support ticket. But if you have different questions or topics, you will need to open a support ticket for each topic or question. (Please note, tickets are answered in the order received, so opening multiple tickets for the same questions will only delay your response time.)
  2. No custom work provided. We had to stop offering anything that is beyond explaining how to use the product. Any custom work request will be politely declined and/or referred to third-party developers you might want to work with.
  3. Our support team endeavors to reply to all tickets within 24 hours, except on weekends and holidays. If you haven't received an initial answer within 24 hours, please open your initial ticket and ask what's going on. Our system will automatically elevate the status of your ticket.

Databases and getting started

Carolyn Holzman Jan 08, 2012 07:02PM EST

Overall the idea of this and the training is very promising.

The challenge I have found - is the the training promises that we can pick a city and a niche - eg. [city] jewelers do keyword research get a domain and then plugin the site with the data and "bob's your uncle".

In theory - yes.

In practice - really?

With all due respect,

1. the database is only searchable it seems on the MAIN TOPIC which contains several niches - e.g. business services - so I've had to open and review each one -

2. once a niche is discovered - its possible that there are no records in the database in any city in the US - ok

3. once a niche is discovered that has records - its VERY possible to narrow it down to a state but down to a city level - suddenly ZERO records.

So to keyword research before checking these databases has proven to be a waste of time.

Now, its like playing itsy bitsy spider to even find a narrowed down city with a list of records -I found one last night that had 12 records - great - but that site is going to hit the wall I suppose and in the training we're led to believe we need to plan out 100 pages and set them to post so as not to alarm the search engines.

I am not in any way saying this isn't great - it just doesn't seem to be ready for prime time - that and the support forum shows a lot of people asking questions and no responses - and those that are say that they don't have enough data to answer -

Really?

I've bought Jared's products before which is why I had great hopes for this - but I'm ready to ask for a refund. The training expectations don't match the reality of the databases and the support is limited and sparse.

I don't consider myself a newbie at this - I have several "properties" on the internet. But I would like a product to live up to the training.

Cheryl here - what you need to do is go into the member's area and request custom data. This will solve the problem and they will do the research for you.
